Russiagate - Is Comey's Comeuppance Coming?

The most important thing in yesterday's Russiagate round up, was that, while James Comey Is Torched In The Department Of Justice's IG Report On Obama-Era FISA Abuses (Matt Vespa, Town Hall)  for leaking his notes on the his interviews with the President, and recommend prosecuting him for the leaks, AG Barr had decided against going forward with the prosecutions, citing lack of evidence of intent on Comey's part. John Solomon on Da Hill, James Comey's next reckoning is imminent — this time for leaking
Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s team referred Comey for possible prosecution under the classified information protection laws, but Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution — a decision that’s likely to upset Comey's conservative critics.

Prosecutors found the IG’s findings compelling but decided not to bring charges because they did not believe they had enough evidence of Comey’s intent to violate the law, according to multiple sources.

The concerns stem from the fact that one memo that Comey leaked to a friend specifically to be published by the media — as he admitted in congressional testimony — contained information classified at the lowest level of “confidential,” and that classification was made by the FBI after Comey had transmitted the information, the sources said.

Although a technical violation, the DOJ did not want to “make its first case against the Russia investigators with such thin margins and look petty and vindictive,” a source told me, explaining the DOJ’s rationale.
Much more today. Judicial Watch reports on how  New Docs Show FBI Agents Went To Comey’s Home to Retrieve Memos.

Sundance at CTH, FOIA Release: FBI Agents Picked Up Comey Memos From His House Day Before Senate Testimony…  It seems likely that the FBI agents were Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka, the two agents who interviewed Michael Flynn as well. Small world. Also, Reconciling John Solomon’s Reporting on Comey…
It sounds like the OIG report on FISA abuse is in the end-stages. What is described in the highlighted sentence above would be what is technically called “The Principal Review Phase of the OIG Final Draft”. That’s where targets are given the opportunity to review an IG report and provide feedback prior to public release.

However…. Note: This reference is not to the IG report on FISA Abuse.

Full Stop.

Repeat: This is NOT the Inspector General Michael Horowitz report on DOJ and FBI FISA abuse.

This is a carve-out.
EBL tells AG Barr: Prosecute Lying Leaking James Comey 👎. I'm of two minds. The vindictive part of me wants to see Comey hung out to dry for his weaseling. On the other hand, I don't want law enforcement used as a political weapon, by our side or theirs. Catch him on something big.

New York’s attempt to get around the IRS and target Donald Trump has come to a temporary — and surprisingly early — halt. A federal judge issued a temporary injunction that forbids the state to use its new TRUST Act to supply Trump’s state tax records to congressional committees that request them. Judge Carl Nichols took no position on the merits of either side, but wants to make sure that the status quo gets maintained while Trump’s lawsuit against the TRUST Act plays out in court:
