Election 2020 on Easter 2021

The memory hole for the last Capitol incursion is nearly complete. Probably the last word on it from NYT, Suspect in Capitol attack appears to have been a follower of Louis Farrakhan. The Victory Girls, Capitol Shooter Background Is Inconvenient For The Left. A Black, Muslin, knife wielder? You don't say. Breitbart, Joe Biden Fails to Condemn Farrakhan Follower Capitol Hill Attack in Statement. So he's in favor of killing Capitol policer officers? That's how this works, right? At Da Caller, Jordan Lancaster informs us that Former FBI Depudy Dog Andy McCabe has identified the culprit, Donald Trump! Former FBI Deputy Director Says Attack On Capitol Is ‘One Of The Results’ Of Jan. 6.

Congratulations to @MLB for taking a stand on behalf of voting rights for all citizens. There’s no better way for America’s pastime to honor the great Hank Aaron, who always led by example.

How dare you propose to boycott our benefactors! Stephen Miller at Am Spec, Woke capitalism comes to Georgia…but not China

In March 2020, a Congressional Executive Commission on human-rights abuses in Xinjiang listed Coca-Cola as a major American company with ties to forced labor camps in the Chinese province. Other companies on the list included Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Campbell’s Soup Company, CostCo, H&M (who has since distanced themselves from China and paid a price for it), Patagonia and Tommy Hilfiger. The report went on to specifically name Coca-Cola’s COFO Tunhe sugar facility in Xinjiang as having direct ties to forced labor. It was reported in the New York Times in November of last year that Coca-Cola was one of the primary companies lobbying against congressional legislation targeting companies who engaged with China’s forced labor policies. The New York Times piece said ‘Lobbyists have fought to water down some of its provisions, arguing that while they strongly condemn forced labor and current atrocities in Xinjiang, the act’s ambitious requirements could wreak havoc on supply chains that are deeply embedded in China.’

Quincey will likely not have to answer for these corporate hypocrisies while appearing on friendly media outlets who also do not want to see Chinese threats to their valuable media markets.

Bonchie at Red State, New Poll Shows the Outrage Over Georgia Voting Law Is Absolute Nonsense

Ironically, the law actually expands the pre-pandemic voting environment. Drop boxes, which were not mandated prior, now are. Voting times are standardized, and reporting requirements for counties are strengthened to avoid the boondoggle we saw during the last major election. Given that, the left had no legitimate complaints to lodge so they just made some up. The issue of allowing strangers to give water to people in line has been beaten to death, and it’s completely misleading. People can bring their own water, or donate water to the polling place to be given out. Random strangers just can’t electioneer by setting up shop. Lots of states have electioneering protections, and there’s nothing especially unique about Georgia’s provision.

The other complaint is, of course, centering on voter ID. Yet, a new AP Poll blows up the narrative surrounding opposition to that provision as well.

WSB-TV 2 Atlanta,  Cobb County says loss of All-Star game will cost tourism industry over $100 million. At least they voted for it, right? But as the NewNeo notes, The attack on Georgia isn’t really about Georgia. It's a warning to other states. New York actually has stricter voting laws than the new ones in Georgia, but nobody proposes to boycott New York. It's all about stopping the roll back of the loopholes that allowed Democrats to win 2020.

Fox, CBS News blasted for 'Dem activism' with report on '3 ways companies can help fight' Georgia election law. Why should they care? It's not like it's a secret any more.

In a piece first titled, "3 ways companies can help fight Georgia's restrictive new voting law," CBS Money Watch reporter Khristopher J. Brooks appeared to offer advice on how corporations can put political pressure on Georgia Republicans, who just passed and signed election reform into law.

Khristopher? Khirst! I think I see his problem.  Molly Hemingway says it the long way in It’s Important To Be Honest About What Today’s Media Actually Are at Da Fed.

This is clown world. This is embarrassing. This is unbecoming of professional adults. This is so ridiculous and self-debasing that even Chris Farley couldn’t have played it for laughs.

But Insty says it the short way in #Journalism
