A pretty nice day for a beach walk, sunny, clear skies mid 50s, not too windy and a "low" high tide, if that makes sense.
Between Georgia and I we managed 34 shark's teeth, a drum tooth, and a crab claw. But the prize for the day was this whale vertebra that I extracted from under the water, in a block of clay up by the big slides north of Matoaka. Before I chipped a lot of the clay off of it, it was pretty much a blob, but now you can see through the vertebral foramen (the passage for the spinal cord).
It still needs more cleaning. Maybe I'll set it outside and let the weather do it.
