As usually happens here, the heat wave broke with the onset of a thunderstorm. Georgia and I were at a restaurant, celebrating on of those "Hallmark" events when it arrived. Lightening, thunder, raining buckets. By the time we reached home, 7 miles away, it had slacked off, and it was apparent that Prince Frederick had much more rain than St. Leonard.
We needed the rain, but best of all, the temperature cooled 10 F in a few minutes with the passing of the front.
We got more thunderstorms last night, and by this morning have a total of over a half inch of rain, and a morning temperature of 74 F compared to yesterdays 84. More rain is in the forecast, too.
Bring it on!
