The 20-year-old model has become the target of pro-anorexia website SkinnyGossip following her participation in a burger commercial. The advertisement in question:
Despite shooting sexy images for Carl's Jr. a few months back, the website has suddenly decided to slam the blonde star now by calling her a 'cannibal.'
If she's a cannibal, she can eat... uh, better not go there...
But before mentioning that, the site hit out at Kate's confidence on the catwalk referring to a recent show which saw her model a variety of swimwear.
'Guess who?! Yes, it’s the lovely Kate Upton, confidently lumbering up a runway like there’s a buffet at the end of it,' they said, before adding: 'She looks thick, vulgar, almost pornographic – and she is a solid 30lb too heavy for this outfit.'
Looks good to me; she can walk down my beach any time. I'll make sure she gets a pass. We don't have any starfish though, so she'll have to do without. Don't try that with our crabs or jellyfish. Although the jellyfish are rather transparent...
Moving on to the burger images, which include the U.S. star laying on a car bonnet as she tucks into a tasty-looking cheeseburger, the website said: 'I thought cannibalism was illegal?!? If that’s not a very different species of cow, Kate could be in legal trouble!'Nobody wants to eat a ferret.
The negative abuse went on to describe Kate as a 'squishy brick' and 'piggy' before asking: 'Has fashion become this?'I can see why the anorectics might resent a slightly fleshier view of womankind becoming popular. Modelling was the primary place where anorexia had been a career benefit, and if the view gains currency, they'll be forced to stop whining about how men staring at women forces them into eating disorders.
No doubt the ridiculous comments will just spur the pretty star on even more to model swimwear in her curvy figure. We can only hope...
Meanwhile, the pro-anorexia website continues to offer it's visitors 'starving tips of the day' and now has a forum.
