A pretty good day for August. Temperatures barely crawling into the low 80s despite cloudless skies, tolerable humidity and a light west wind. We managed to get there just after low tide.
What's that?
One of two pretty good Snaggletooth Shark's teeth. The one on the left is a lower tooth, and a pretty rare one that has little serrations in addition to the main blade.
Also a small Mako Shark lower tooth. We got 21 teeth in all.
I thought it was supposed to be stand up paddle boarding?
An Eastern Tiger Swallowtail in the Spotted Beebalm that grows in the dunes above the beach.
