Labor Day 2017 at the Beach
Labor day finds the beach about as busy as it gets. This photo shows what it's like once you get past the dozen or two people on the first 100 yards north of the parking lot. Our weather is great, peaking at about 80, with low humidity. It really feels like fall is on the way at last. If we get by Irma. . .
This Red-Spotted Purple decided to puddle at my feet for a few seconds, long enough to get a picture.
A fairly ragged specimen of an interesting butterfly, the American Snout, perched on an errant Kudzu shoot.
