Rule 5 Saturday - Grimm Girls

This episode of Rule 5 Saturday goes out to the girls of Grimm, the NBC TV show based very loosely on Grimm's Fairly Tails. In short, the show would have us believe that the monsters from Grimm's book still live among us, called "vessin" (German for creature), some good, some very, very bad.

The first major distaff staffer is Bitsie Tulloch, who plays Juliette Silverton, the love interest of the main protagonist, a Portland Oregon detective  gifted by a combination of genetics and magic with the ability to see the "vessin" for what they are, and by family tradition with keeping them from causing problems with the regular folk they live among.  Juliette has been the subject of a love spell, and a cure that caused amnesia, leading to a great deal of angst.  But at least she's a real girl.

Claire Coffee play a villainess vessin called a "Hexenbiest" Anamed deleade Schade (shades of schadenfreude), the leading antagonist, whose "vessin" appearance is a bit like a "Walking Dead" walker with a 10 minute make up job.  But in her human form, she's quite lovely, and has a Maxim photospread to prove it.  She's currently undergoing the magical consequence of an pregnancy.

Bree Turner plays the "foxie" Fuchsbau vessin folk doctor and squeeze of the detectives main vessin ally, who might as well be a werewolf but is called a "Wieder Blutbad."  She whips up potions to cure semi-supernatural on a regular basis, and generally serves to keep the men from doing even stupider things than they generally do.

Wombat-Socho has the Le Grande Rule 5 post "Slow Turning", up at The Other McCain on time and within budget.
