8/2/21 Beach Report

What, is this really a day in August is Slower Maryland, 80 F, very little humidity, an a nice breeze to keep things even cooler? I blame Donald Trump!
I saw several Monarchs looking around for a place to take a sip from the beach today.
The writing on the tail section says "Patuxent River Search and Rescue." I hope (and rather expect) it's just a training mission.
Even though I got 10 sharks teeth to Georgia's 0, she won the daily contest with this shark vertebra. Vertebrae aren't as easily identifiable as teeth, but the two hole on the side (and two more on the other) put it in the group that includes Tiger Sharks and Snaggletooths.
The part of the beach closest to the parking lot was pretty well used today, and as a bonus, the sea nettles didn't seem to be there in any numbers today.
