Beach Report 8/28/21

A strong front rolled through last night with a good solid hour of thunder, lightening , rain and minor power blips. We recorded 2.5 inches of rain, 2 of which fell between 9:30 and 10:30 PM. Today's weather was much cooler, a mere 82, and tolerable humidity under mostly clear skies.

When we got to the furthest point of the walk, we encountered a father and son fossil hunting team with a real prize, a little more than half of a huge Megalodon tooth, which they found sifting the beach sand under the cliff. I'm afraid the kid will either be jaded for life, or inspired to become a paleontologist.

I won't even bother to show you our measly take, 18 shark's teeth of no particular quality, 2 drum teeth and a Tilly bone.
