Russiagate: Barr Appoints Durham to be 'Special Counsel'

Attorney General William Barr has given extra protection to the prosecutor he appointed to investigate the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, giving him the authority of a special counsel to complete the work without being easily fired.

Barr told The Associated Press on Tuesday that he had appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham as a special counsel in October under the same federal statute that governed special counsel Robert Mueller in the original Russia probe. He said Durham’s investigation has been narrowing to focus more on the conduct of FBI agents who worked on the Russia investigation, known as Crossfire Hurricane.

Normally, this would mean that Biden would have political difficulty firing Durham, as Trump was warned he would have if he fired Mueller.

You can fire special counsels. The conventional wisdom is that you'd face too much political backlash if you did, though.

But I think we all know that the leftwing propaganda media is going to start demanding that Durham be fired, giving cover to a new Saturday Night Massacre.

Biden and his AG were never going to fire Durham. That would reek of obstruction of justice considering Durham is investigating matters that began under the Obama/Biden administration. Biden is aiming to be the “norms” president, right? Well, one way to follow “norms” is not to mess with a federal prosecutor who’s wrapping up a months-long criminal investigation.


Besides, who’s the biggest fish that might conceivably be netted by Durham? James Comey, right? Well, Democrats don’t care about him. Comey’s the guy who cost them the 2016 election by reopening Emailgate at the last second. If Durham ends up frog-marching that big goon into the back of an FBI van, the whole country will high-five over it.

We'll see who gets that right, Ace or Allah. Maybe in response to  Trump floats appointing a ‘special prosecutor’ in addition to Durham to investigate Trump-Russia investigators (Jerry Dunleavy at WaEx).

Now, Flynn claims, because the Democratic Party didn’t achieve the result in the vote it needed to secure former Vice President Joe Biden’s place in the White House, America is seeing “theft with mail-in ballots” and “theft with this Smartmatic software and Dominion systems.”

“This is still a coup in progress,” he said.


He went further to say that the ideological cousin of America’s far-left political groups, the Chinese Communist Party, has interests in supporting such a coup.

“I believe when during the last 2016 election, when they didn’t get the candidate that they needed, and the kind of ideology that they saw America moving towards, they were not going to allow 2020 to happen,” he said, blaming the foreign-owned software systems used in the election for leaving the country vulnerable to foreign interference.
