The Shortest Day at the Beach

The solstice, marking the official start of astronomical winter, turned out to be a pretty nice day to visit the beach, mid 40's, partly sunny, and still.

Gulls lined up on a groin, and stringing out into the water. The horizon was very soft today because of the clouds and still water.
No sighting of Whitey today, although a reliable witness said she saw him yesterday.

We met Charlie and Remy on our way home. A high energy German Shepard, Remy ran circles around us the whole time

"Why can't I get off the leash and play"

Because you never come back!
