The big LNG tanker that was sitting at the Gas Dock loading yesterday was pulling away (or more likely being pulled) when Skye, Georgia and I arrived around 11 AM.
Whitey was hanging around in the silt below the north jetty of the harbor.
As you can see it was another very low tide. Although we had a frost last night, the temperature made it into the 50s by the time we arrived, and it was pretty pleasant.
Georgia was ahead on fossils until I found this whale vertebra. Only about a half inch was sticking out of the mud. Fortunately one set of grooves in it were exposed, or I probably would have missed it.
Whitey had moved to the south jetty when we got back.
