Baltimore Harbor Fails Three Years in a Row

Baltimore harbor posts failing water quality grades
The Inner Harbor and tidal Patapsco River of Baltimore posted failing grades in water quality for the third straight year.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the report card from the Healthy Harbor Initiative for the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore found concerns with fecal bacteria from the city's sewage system and pollutants that flow into the harbor following rain.

City leaders had previously set a goal of turning the harbor into a swimmable and fishable area by 2020.

Adam Lindquist, manager of the Healthy Harbor Initiative for the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore, says that it's questionable whether the harbor will be swimmable by 2020.
Quick, we need the farmers to make more drastic cuts in their pollution! They're killing the Bay!
