That 'Special' Counsel, Supremes Give Trump Taxes to Dems

Greg Byrnes at PJ Media thinks Attorney General Merrick Garland Is Attempting to Obstruct a Congressional Investigation by appointing the 'Special' Counsel Jack Smith (if that is his real name) to persecute Trump. Dave Krayden at HE Special Counsel says Jack Smith Is Meant to Intimidate Not Just Trump, But All Republicans. Mike Conway at NBC cited at Haut Hair calls it Merrick Garland's special counsel blunder. Capt. Ed adds "Special counsels inevitably turn into roving prosecutors and empire builders. We need to end this practice, full stop." Breitbart, Wife of Special Counsel in Trump Probe Contributed to Campaigns of Joe Biden, Rashida Tlaib.  Ace, Surprise! Merrick Garland's Choice of Special Prosecutor Is Yet Another Angry Democrat With a Limitless Jurisdiction to Get Trump, "NBC say that Merrick Garland made a "blunder" in his instructions to his corrupt partisan special prosecutor.

Rather than giving him instructions that would result in a quick prosecutorial decision, as Garland claims he wanted, he "blundered" and wrote instructions that would result in, get this, and endless investigation with a limitless scope . . .  Does anyone think this is a "blunder"? No. Democrats and the Deep State and the propaganda Orwellian media -- but I repeat myself thrice -- are determined to have Trump under investigation for the rest of his natural life."

A little tinfoil hatish from sundance at CTH, Foreboding Signals Amid Discovery the FBI Can Launch Pegasus Cell Phone Targeting With Appointment of Special Counsel

The Peacock crows, Supreme Court allows release of Trump's tax returns to House Democrats "The decision means the Democratic-led Ways and Means Committee can try to obtain documents before the GOP takes control of the House." Sundance at CTH, Supreme Court Clears Way for IRS to Send President Trump Tax Filings to Democrats in Congress, to Leak to Media. I think this is correct as a matter of law, but an extremely bad policy. The only cure will be liberal application of this law to prominent Democrats. Thanks for precedent!

Insty, THE PROCESS IS THE PUNISHMENT: Marjorie Taylor Greene says her legal bill is $700,000.

“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) reelection was such a sure thing that she was projected the winner as polls closed on Election Day, but that didn’t stop liberal groups from challenging her right to be on the ballot. In addition to facing a well-financed upstart challenger in a race she won 66%-34%, she faced a challenge to having her name on the ballot by a group that labeled her an insurrectionist for defending some of those jailed in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.”

Democrats need to get the same treatment. Tit for tat/mutual assured destruction is the only way they’ll learn.

At Am Great, the redoubtable Julie takes time off of J6 to post  Jen Psaki: Investigations for Thee But Not for Me "It’s beyond ironic that the mouthpiece for a regime proceeding with yet another punitive and vengeful investigation into Donald Trump wants to be shielded from an inquiry into her own misdeeds." Gene Volokh at the Volokh Report reports Magistrate Judge "Openly Scoffed" at Former Press Secretary Jen Psaki's "Efforts to Escape a Deposition"

Dave Harsanyi at Da Fed The GOP’s Hunter Biden Probe Is Legit… even if Biden family apologists don’t like it. At Fox, Hunter Biden laptop repairman details 'chilling' warning from FBI agent.

John McCormack at NRO, cited at Haut Hair hosts Two new polls show toss-up between Trump, DeSantis. Sundance reports Florida Republican Legislature Considering State Law Change Allowing DeSantis to Run for President, and isn't happy. Also, Emerson Poll, More Republicans Support Liz Cheney Than Ted Cruz, Nikki Haley or Larry Hogan for 2024 GOP Nomination. All in single digits. 'Bonchie' at Red State sees Democrats in league with terrorists claim Ron DeSantis Now Being Accused of 'Torture' During Military Career

David Catron at Am Spec notes a Judge Rewrites Georgia Law to Favor Warnock "Notorious pettifogger Marc Elias convinces court to ignore the plain text of election statute." Funny how easy it it to have them do that. At the Free Bacon, Warnock Steered $16 Million to Project That Benefited Co-Owner of Church’s Controversial Apartment Complex. Insty, WARNOCK GOT A $16 MILLION EARMARK FOR BUDDY. "As if more proof was needed that earmarks provide Members of Congress a handy tool for shoveling federal tax dollars to family members, friends, contributors and business associates, the Washington Free Beacon’s Alana Goodman nails the Reverend Sen. Ralph Warnock (D-Ga.)." KT at Haut Hair sees Big names are going to Georgia to help Warnock in the Senate run-off race.

Mary Chastain at LI, AZ Attorney General’s Office Wants Maricopa County to Explain Voting Problems. Sundance hosts a video Steve Bannon and Natalia Mittelstadt Discuss Arizona Attorney Election Day Report from Maricopa County. Also Report, Ronna McDaniel Pulls Ground Resources from Arizona Motivated by RNC Power Challenge. Another Republican who would rather reign in hell than serve in heaven (a GOP Senate). At the Daily Fetched, Arizona County Board Says Delaying Election Result Certification Is a ‘Political Statement’ The Board of Supervisors in Mohave County, Arizona, has delayed the certification of the midterm election results in protest of voting issues in Maricopa County. The board members made the decision to wait until the November 28 deadline to certify the election results as a “political statement” in “solidarity” with those angry with the voting machine issues in Maricopa County."

At Am Think D. Parker wonders Have the Democrats Destroyed Our Election System?  Am Con, Katya Sedgwick decries America's Soviet Election System "America may eschew the cruel details of Soviet elections, but we negate voters’ agency just the same as the USSR." Ned Ryun at Am Great sees A New Age of American Politics, "It’s time to hit ballot harvesting hard or die trying." Experience tell us that if Republicans get better at it than Democrats, Democrats will try to make it illegal (again). Vicky Marshall at Da Fed, Alabama Withdraws From Democrat Operative-Controlled Voter Registration Database

Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism… When a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites and/or with organised interests, they generally lose. Moreover, because of the strong status quo bias built into the US political system, even when fairly large majorities of Americans favour policy change, they generally do not get it… average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence [over US policy].

At PM, Antifa member sentenced to 20 years for stabbing two members of the Proud Boys, ""He violently, brutally stabbed political opponents of his -- one of whom he eviscerated. This wasn't just a simple stab or an accidental stab or a 'poke' as the defendant attempted to describe it in his testimony.  These were violent knife attacks."
