GOP Loses Senate

Spencer Brown at Town Hall informs us GOP Hopes of Senate Majority Officially Dashed. "Enough votes were finally counted in Nevada by Saturday evening for Decision Desk HQ to project that incumbent Democrat Senator Catherine Cortez Masto had defeated Republican challenger Adam Laxalt, sinking any remaining GOP hopes of retaking control of the Senate in the midterms. " Roll Call, Democrats keep Senate control ahead of Georgia runoff. "Pennsylvania is the only state in which a seat has flipped so far." Abortion obsessed Althouse calls it good news, Control of the Senate will not depend on the Georgia runoff.

The Nevada race has gone to the Democrat. That's a relief. It's good to be emerging from this period of uncertainty about the balance of power.

If the Republican had won in Nevada, we'd have a repeat of 2020, spending weeks obsessed with Georgia, dependent on Georgia.

Characteristically, sundance at CTH is unconvinced, Media Declaring Democrat Victory in Nevada Senate Race, Amid Significant Disparity Between Governor Race Outcome in Same State. Jazz Shaw at Haut Hair thinks The battle over a 100% hand count in Arizona pulls back the mask "There is seemingly more being revealed here than any potential flaws in Arizona’s electoral process or voting machinery. Why would Democrats be so uniformly opposed to a hand count? What is the downside of doing it? When the “official” count as tallied by the machines is finished, they can release those results immediately. But even if it takes weeks to complete the hand count, those numbers could then be matched against the machine tally." Atop Da Hill, Sen. Rick Scott calls 2022 election a ‘complete disappointment’ No shit, Sherlock. KT at Haut Hair, Trump blasts McConnell after Arizona Senate race is called for Mark Kelly. "Trump blames McConnell for not spending enough money on Masters’ race in Arizona." McConnell would rather reign in Hell than serve in Heaven. Dave Strom at Haut Hair When you have lost Winsome Sears... Trump fatigue. Derek Hunter at Town Hall opines, There’s Plenty Of GOP Blame To Go Around, But One Person Deserves More Than Others and singles out Lindsay Graham (1.0) for introducing a federal abortion bill. "Great work, Lindsey. But maybe next time stick to trying to start wars overseas or at least wait until after people vote when pushing something that isn’t going anywhere." It was an unforced error. But I confess, I didn't think abortion was as potent an issue as it seems to have been.

Insty, THIS IS UNDOUBTEDLY TRUE,  Graham: They’re trying to destroy Walker to deter people of color from becoming conservative Republicans. "And if he were a Democrat all the networks would be quoting professors of anti-racism darkly inveighing against the racism inherent in criticising the sexual behavior of young black men." JTN reports unofficial Senator-elect Gisele Fetterman campaigned with defund police supporters after husband wiped BLM from website, "Defunding the police and shifting it to mental health and social services is a demand of the Black Lives Matter organization."

Also at JTN, 'Don't run, Joe': Progressives launch campaign to stop Biden from running in 2024, "A majority of Democrats don't want the president to seek a second term, according to recent polling." At Twitchy, The Hill publishes a ‘plan’ to make Gavin Newsom president without a vote "If the answer is “yes,” the “solution” is really not complicated at all. In one scenario, Biden could ask Harris to resign and replace her with Newsom, who then becomes the heir apparent for 2024. Or Biden could replace Harris with Newsom and then resign himself, making Newsom the president before 2024 and arming him with the full force of the Oval Office." Muh "democracy."

At Town Hall, Mia Cathell observes that These Counties Experiencing Election Issues Have One Thing In Common, federal election 'monitors.' But is this cause or effect? And finishing as we started with Spencer Brown at Town Hall, It Appears Biden's Politicized DOJ Has Found Its Next Target, Elon Musk for seditious conspiracy against the deep state.
