We took a quick trip to the beach this afternoon, after errands and such. For me, this was the first "shirt sleeve" day, temperatures around 65 despite a strong SE wind (off the 50 degree water).
While the trees haven't put out any leaves yet, the trees are blushing pink with buds. It won't be long now.
The Buffleheads are still here...
Some other fossil hunters.
Georgia found this nice little lower Mako tooth, but I won the numerical contest, 9:6.
The results from yesterday, showing a fine Snaggletooth surrounded by a bunch of lesser teeth. The "circle" on the big Snaggletooth is a barnacle scar which shows the tooth sat exposed underwater somewhere for months, long enough for the barnacle to settle and grow.
