Election 2020: Wisconsin Legislature Dips Toe in Audit Pond

But first, President** Biden has dreams of Corn Pop, at NYPo, Biden awards medal to cops at Capitol riot, likens them to brave high school brawlers. Yeah, I heard that too. He's getting kind of dotty, NTTAWWT.

“It breaks my heart. It breaks the heart of the nation to remember that you were assaulted by thousands of violent insurrectionists at the Capitol of the United States of America,” Biden said.
The FBI has long way to go to find a single thousand, let alone thousands. The second lie is "insurrectionists." They were rioters, and mostly peaceful ones at that, at least by BLM standards.

And, as if we needed more evidence that the Jan. 6 "Insurrection" Committee was a sham, from Emily Brooks at WaEx, House committee turns key Trump DOJ official questioning over to Jan. 6 panel, sidelining GOP. So, now the House "Oversight" Committee is a sham too.
The House Oversight Committee canceled scheduled questioning of two key Justice Department officials about former President Donald Trump’s final days in office, sending them to the Democratic-controlled select committee to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

Former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and former acting Deputy Attorney Richard Donoghue, two key figures in investigations into Trump’s handling of election challenges and encouraging Justice Department investigations, had been scheduled for interviews with the House Oversight Committee, a Republican aide confirmed to the Washington Examiner. But those were postponed on Thursday and will be taken over by the Jan. 6 panel.
. . .
“It just underscores what we've said now for several weeks, frankly, for months, that this is all politics for the Democrats,” Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee and a member of the Oversight Committee who was originally recommended to sit on the Jan. 6 panel, told the Washington Examiner on Friday.

Also at WaEx, Dan Chaitin reports  Former Republican congressman appointed to advise Jan. 6 panel. You can see for yourself why Pelosi selected him:

Former Republican Rep. Denver Riggleman is being brought in as an adviser to the Democratic-controlled select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

Chairman Bennie Thompson said in a statement Friday evening that his former House colleague, an intelligence officer for the Air Force and National Security Agency contractor, "brings a deep background in national security and intelligence matters."

Riggleman is joined by Homeland Security Department Principal Deputy General Counsel Joseph Maher, who has "distinguished himself across his career as a public servant," Thompson said. The chairman added Maher was picked on recommendation from Rep. Liz Cheney, one of two Republican members of the committee.
. . .
Riggleman lost his bid for reelection in 2020 against primary challenger Bob Good, who went on to win the seat, and in the months after the November contest criticized Trump and others who claimed the presidential election was stolen due to widespread fraud.

“That really is, really, I think, the Island of the Misfit Toys at that point. You have crossed the Rubicon, you jumped on the crazy train, and you’re headed into the cliffs that guard the flat Earth at that time, brother,” Riggleman told Yahoo News last year.

Raheem Kassam at TNP  Unearthed a Paper that Shows Biden-Linked Group Demanding ‘Robust’ Audits & Admitting Machines Are Hackable Even Without Internet Access. Yeah, but that was after Trump won. NewsMax reports Republican Issues Subpoenas for Wisconsin Election Info, bur frankly, it sounds like the AP wrote it:

Republican Rep. Janel Brandtjen said she has sent subpoenas to Milwaukee and Brown counties for election materials. Brandtjen said last month that she wanted to conduct a review similar to a widely discredited audit performed in Arizona. Brandtjen and other Wisconsin Republicans traveled to that state in June to observe the review.

At the Georgia Star, Brad Raffensperger Says He Will ‘Clean Voter Rolls and Improve Election Integrity’ in Georgia. I think he's starting to worry about his job.
Raffensperger also did not comment in May when we asked if he thinks Trump voters can overlook him accepting $5.6 million from the Mark Zukerberg-funded Center for Election Innovation and Research to assist with last year’s election? This, even though Zuckerberg had a clear personal and political bias against Trump.

From Chris Barron at the PI, Democrats Prepare To Tell The Big Lie It's hard to keep them all straight.

The Democrats, however, have always had a backup plan if their efforts to permanently changes election laws to their benefit failed and we will see that backup plan in full display in 2022.

When, not if, Democrats lose control of the House and Senate in 2022, they will not say they lost, instead they have laid the ground work to tell “the big lie.” Rather than accept defeat in 2022 and admit their agenda was unpopular with voters, Democrats will instead claim that Republicans only won because they disenfranchised voters and that if the elections were truly free and fair they – the Democrats – would have won.

It’s a page directly out of the Stacey Abrams playbook. Abrams famously refused to concede her loss in the Georgia gubernatorial race of 2018, claiming the “process” was “not fair”:
“Concession means to say that the process was fair, but when I run an organization that in 10 days between election night and the night I refuse to concede we receive more than 50,000 phone calls for people who were denied the right to vote I am complicit if I say that that system is fair,” Abrams said.
