Beach Report 5/13/21

An absolutely great day, just a hair cool when Skye and I left for the beach, so I made the mistake of wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt.

The tide was pretty low, and Skye and I got around the slides up above above Matoaka. I found this lovely Snaggletooth in the same streambed I found the Megalodon in back in March. At 1 1/2 inches on the slant (the standard tooth measurement technique) it's a mere 1/8ths smaller than the largest of the year so far. I may leave it on the kitchen window sill for a while anyway.
Some interesting fossil traces in the boulders left by some of the recent slides.
