Reason #5519-#5523 That Trump Was Elected

Berkeley, California. A few days ago, Trump supporters decided to hold a rally in the notoriously left wing city, and, for a change, the right wing fought back to protect their own freedom of speech: The Battle of Berkeley
If the media accurately and comprehensively reported on leftist mob violence, it would see that a pattern has emerged: On campus and in the streets, a violent or menacing core seizes the ground it wants, blocks access to buildings, and shuts down the speech or events it seeks to suppress. This violent core is often surrounded and protected by a larger group of ostensibly “peaceful” protesters who sometimes cheer aggression wildly and then provide cover for the rioters, who melt back into the crowd. After the riot, the polite progressives condemn the violence, urge that it not distract from the alleged rightness of the underlying cause, and then do virtually nothing to enforce the law and punish the offenders.
But this time the plan didn't work:
Saturday, we saw more clashes in what now threatens to become an increasingly vicious, violent war for control of America’s streets. Leftist “antifa” or “black bloc” rioters met pro-Trump “Oath Keepers,” bikers, and alt-right goons in a barely contained battle royale, with assaults and beatings streamed live and posted to YouTube. Police struggled to control the violence and often appeared completely absent as brawls broke out across entire city blocks. By the end of the fighting, Mother Jones reporter Shane Bauer said, “Militias, alt-right, nazis etc. won today in Berkeley. They outnumbered the opposition, pushed it back, and held downtown.”
A notable clash occurred when "anti-fa" counter protester, porn star and drama queen Venus Rosales, aka Louise Rosealma, aka Moldylocks, aka Emily Rose Nauert. Prior to her trip to Berkeley last weekend, Emily boasted that she hoped to “bring back at least 100 Nazi scalps. During the protest tried to punch a protester in the throat , and well, let's see the video:

That's gonna sting! Despite all the Kung Fun movies, 98 lb porn stars don't actually fair very well in a fist fight with men. Megan Fox wonders:
Does anyone see the irony in the social justice warriors complaining that a guy hit a girl? A girl who wants equality with men showed up at a Trump rally wearing weighted gloves, tried to punch a guy in the throat, and got laid out with one punch. For as long as I can remember, the feminists have told us they’re exactly the same, if not better than men. So why are we supposed to be outraged that one of them got hit in the face by a man? Isn’t that exactly what she wanted when she jumped into the fray and started swinging? . . .
This girl knew exactly what she was doing joining Antifa at the Berkeley rally. She was there to fight “nazis.” She said so. . . .
This is what feminists have asked for and I’ll be damned if I let them complain about it.
If you go looking for a fight, you can’t complain when people fight back. Believing yourself to be “on the right side of history” will not magically protect you from harm. Two words of advice: Grow up.
She is also recorded on film throwing bottles and M80s.

And the cops? Well, the cops seem to have been told not to intervene in the squabble:
“A fight within a volatile crowd is not a simple matter in which to intervene,” the chief said in the memo. “Intervening on intermixed groups of armed participants fighting or eager to fight presents challenges. Intervention requires a major commitment of resources, a significant use of force, and carries with it the strong likelihood of harming those who are not committing a crime.”
However, the protest did lead to 20 arrests and 11 injuries.

But if you want to be arrested, the Berkeley cops may symbolically arrest you, at the time and place of your choice:

Finally, Ann Coulter Vows to Speak at Berkeley After University Cancels Her Appearance
It appears UC Berkeley is in for another political brawl, this time with Ann Coulter, who tells The Hollywood Reporter that she'll speak at the famously progressive campus even though administrators are trying to prevent her from doing so.

"Yes, it was officially banned," Coulter said of her planned April 27 appearance. "But they can't stop me. I'm an American. I have constitutional rights."

Coulter had accepted an invitation from two campus groups — the Berkeley College Republicans and BridgeUSA — to deliver a speech about immigration, the topic of one of her 12 New York Timesbest-selling books.
. . .
Coulter told THR that before they canceled her, Berkeley administrators insisted that she agree to a list of demands prior to her engagement, and that she accepted their terms.

"I've acceded to all their silly demands, which they thought would end it. When I said, 'yes, yes, yes,' they canceled anyway. No more clear-cut proof that taxpayer-supported universities will not allow conservative speakers," Coulter told THR.

"We have been unable to find a safe and suitable venue for your planned April 27 event featuring Ann Coulter," Berkeley's vice chancellors told the two groups who were set to co-host the event.

"I'm giving a speech," countered Coulter. "Speech will go on."
