Butterfly Courtship

When we came home from the beach this morning there were a couple of Cloudless Sulphurs spinning around the little piece of garden up by the road.  Even though it is November, the air temperature was up around 70, and the Mexican Sage is flowering and  still attracting a few butterflies.

It's pretty clear what he has on his mind. A rare opportunity to check out the upper surface of the Sulphur's wings. They're always closed when the butterfly is sitting.
