...President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas.  I was twelve years old, and in Junior High School when I heard.  No great insights there.

Over the past few days, the media has been full of JFK retrospectives.  On the left, there has been a concerted effort to overlook that fact that the assassin was a man of the left, an ex-marine who deserted his country for the USSR, returned and then tried to re-desert the United States for Cuba.  Many on the left are stuck on JFK assassination conspiracies that attempt to blame the nebulous right-wing for the crimes.

Here, in the Washington Post, the usual suspects run stuff around in their drug addled brains and blame the usual suspects, the Tea Party, of course.  Just astonishing.  A more usual version of that theory has a generalized right-wing climate of hate in Dallas Texas for the

I dare say more people believe in conspiracies about the JFK assassination than believe that Preznit Obama is a secret Muslim born in Kenya.  Time to face the truth:
The King of Camelot was killed by a commie loser. The impossibility of processing that drove the left crazy, and they still can’t face it. “Lee Harvey Oswald was a Communist who had defected to the Soviet Union, become disillusioned, returned to the U.S., and then supported the Communist Castro regime in Cuba against the United States. He wanted to be a big man. Kennedy, the president of the United States, fit the definition of a Big Man perfectly. He was a resolute anti-Communist. Oswald was a traitor who put his ideology above his country. He was also barely employable because he had no skills apart from rabble rousing. He knew how to use a rifle, and that was the extent of his abilities. Ideologically he may have been the first Occupier.”
