Seedy Day at the Beach

Late in the afternoon, after a day of errands and travel, Georgia and I got down to the beach for a quick walk.  The weather was cool, breezy, and heavily clouded.  Do you see that brown band up on the wrack line?
Thousands of the little "twirly seeds" produced by Tulip Poplars.  The real name is "samara." Guess what's all over our decks and yard today...
Tooth hunting was only fair; it was hard to see through all the debris, but I did find 8 teeth including this Snaggletooth lower tooth in somewhat worn condition.
A couple of Semipalmated Sandpipers on their way south to warmer waters provided a minutes entertainment.
