A woman swam to safety in the Chesapeake Bay Friday night after her car plunged 40 feet off the Bay Bridge following a collision.I hope she went right out and bought some lottery tickets.
The woman was taken by helicopter to the shock trauma unit of the University of Maryland hospital. When rescue personnel reached her she was conscious and breathing, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel county fire department said...
The 22-year-old woman, who was not identified immediately, was “very fortunate,” said Battalion Chief Steve Thompson, a county fire department spokesman. He said she swam from her car to a bridge piling.
One day you wash up on the beach, wet and naked. Another day you wash back out. In between, the scenery changes constantly.
