Election 2020: The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia

The lights didn't actually go out, but they closed the counting in Atlanta for a :leaky water pipe", and after they did, a lot seemed to have changed. We're starting to understand what. Ivan Pentchoukov at ET, Georgia Recount Witnesses Saw Trump Votes Counted for Biden "Affiants also swore to have seen suspiciously pristine, uncreased mail ballots, uniformly and perfectly filled out"

Trump campaign attorney Lin Wood filed the affidavits with a federal court in Georgia on Nov. 17 as part of an emergency motion seeking to block the certification of the election results in the Peach State.

Nine of the affiants swore to have seen suspiciously pristine, uncreased mail ballots, uniformly and perfectly filled out, almost always for Biden. In one case, a batch of such ballots included 500 ballots in a row all cast for Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee.

The lack of creases is strange considering that mail ballots have to be folded to fit in an envelope. Some of the witnesses said the perfect markings, all in black and never outside the voting bubble, appeared as though they were printed by a machine or stamped.

The emergency motion detailed these and other abnormalities, violations, and potential signs of voter fraud on the night prior to the deadline for Georgia’s recount, which has already discovered, in three counties, batches of uncounted votes for Trump.

“One of our monitors discovered a 9,626-vote error in the DeKalb County hand count. One batch was labeled 10,707 for Biden and 13 for Trump—an improbable margin even by DeKalb standards. The actual count for the batch was 1,081 for Biden and 13 for Trump,” David Shafer wrote on Twitter on Nov. 18.

“Had this counting error not been discovered, Biden would have gained enough votes from this one batch alone to cancel out Trump’s gains from Fayette, Floyd, and Walton,” Shafer added, referring to the three Peach State counties that discovered memory cards with uncounted votes on Nov. 16 and 17. The discovered votes favored President Donald Trump and cut former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead in the state by more than 1,400 votes.

There are also some interesting developments in the Wayne County (Detroit), Michigan story. Yesterday I reported that two of the four members of the voting board there had refused to certify the election, only to relent after being harassed and having their families threatened. Now, according to John Solomon at JTN, In dramatic reversal, Wayne County election board Republicans rescind votes certifying results. Sundance at CTH, Wayne County, Michigan, Election Board Rescind Prior Certification Vote Citing Threats to Their Family…
In a stunning reversal Wayne County Board of Canvassers Chairwoman Monica Palmer [affidavit here] and fellow GOP member William C. Hartmann [affidavit here] have filed affidavits rescinding their prior vote to certify the election in Wayne County, Michigan.

The two board members cite threats against their family as the pressure put upon them to certify the Detroit area vote against their original decision not to certify.
Nice election you have there. It would be a shame if something happened to it. Alhouse, The Washington Post viewpoint on obscurity: "For three hours, an obscure county board in Michigan was at the center of U.S. politics."
That's the front-page teaser, along with the headline, "Wayne County Republicans ask to ‘rescind’ their votes certifying the election result," which links to an article titled "Wayne County Republicans ask to ‘rescind’ their votes certifying the election results."

Wayne County is Detroit! Wayne County is not obscure. Or — I see the ambiguity — is The Washington Post calling the county board level of government obscure — obscure everywhere, everywhere there are counties? There are no counties in Washington, D.C., so the narrow viewpoint from Washington may be that counties don't matter.

Also at ET, Data Scientist Discovers Unusual Change in Votes

Data scientist Sarah Eaglesfield says she discovered unusual changes in vote counts in several states during the 2020 election.

According to her research, nearly 60 counties across the United States had ballots removed from the total count after they’d been counted.

She said that the changes in data indicate the vote-counting software, known as Dominion Voting Systems, is flawed.

Based on her analysis, ballots in Wayne County, Michigan were counted more than once. Numbers show that ballots with the same voter ID appeared several times in the vote-counting software.

She explained she feels the discrepancies combined with evidence of dead voters make it impossible for anyone to determine what the real election results were.

Sarah Eaglesfield said: “Any news or any figures that are being fed back to you, they might be accurate within a few hundred thousand, but they’re not going to be the accurate result for the state, unless there’s been a hand count, and I believe all the states do need to audit what they’re turning over.”
