Russiagate: Flynn Matter Fades

The discussion of the Flynn flimflam appears to be waning while we wait for Judge Sullivan to do whatever he and his lawyer decide to do in response to the appeals court order to explain himself. My guess is they wait until the last day and beg for a continuance. It should be denied. Sundance at CTH gives us Sunday Talks: Sidney Powell Discusses Issues Surrounding Judge Sullivan and Flynn Case – DC District Court and Now Circuit Court Have Intervened in Flynn Case…

Fox, Rep. Doug Collins suggests Flynn judge may have 'conflict of interest' after hiring personal attorney
Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., told "Fox & Friends" on Sunday it was an "unprecedented" step for U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan to hire a personal attorney as an appeals court reviews his decision not to immediately grant the Justice Department's request to dismiss its case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

"He's wanting to play every position, he wants to play the defense attorney, the prosecutor... the judge, he wants to bring in his own hearings here. This is something that's very concerning," Collins told co-host Griff Jenkins. "It's no shock to me that he finally had to go get his outside counsel because he's operating in areas right here that frankly, he needs to explain."

"I think the court of appeals is saying, 'This is something wrong, we need to look at [it],'" Collins said. "DOJ acted properly. It happens all the time in cases. Why is he not doing this? I think he's trying to play politics."

"That's exactly why he's getting an attorney," Collins argued.

"I think we’re delving into areas here where the question is becoming a conflict of interest. You have a judge who has implicated himself in a case now in which he is sitting at the final arbiter of what General Flynn’s decision is."
Dan Chaitin, WaEx  Obama team was 'afraid' Flynn would find improper access to NSA data, Joe diGenova says. This appears to be the leading theory for why the Obama intelligence crowd were so bound and determined to get Flynn. I'm not sure where it originated, but Sundance has been flogging it from the early days of Russiagate. Only recently has it become common currency.

Most of us are familiar in some way with the term “black swan,” an unexpected event with major implications, and one which, in hindsight, often makes total sense. We should probably be talking more about the potential black swan of the 2020 elections, and I don’t mean the coronavirus.

I mean the reaction of the American people watching this summer as more evidence becomes public of senior Obama Administration officials conspiring and using the powerful tools of federal law enforcement and the surveillance state to spy on their successor, President Trump and members of his campaign and administration.

It is entirely possible that some of these former Obama administration officials and FBI agents will be charged with crimes. And it is likely that through these disclosures of political dirty tricks—exceeding even Nixon’s Watergate—the electorate will realize that the Democratic nominee for president is eyeball-deep in this gross abuse of power.

Over the last few weeks more and more evidence has been released—mostly by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence—revealing Joe Biden’s involvement in these activities. Biden was involved in the West Wing meetings concerning President Trump’s National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, the FBI plot to get him at any cost, despite the absence of any evidence of criminal activity, and the illegal leaking of classified information about Flynn to continue a falsely predicated investigation—all of which, when confronted by the facts, Biden lied about. More information is very likely coming regarding Biden, and others, and their roles in #Obamagate.
I think he put entirely too much hope in the ability of the American public to see the problem, and be made to care.

Bonchie at Red State, Undercover Huber Lays Out New Details of Mueller Investigation Corruption
As we continue to look back though, things get more and more damning. Undercover Huber has a new thread out detailing what he sees as blatant corruption by the Mueller team in some of their charging decisions, including how they went after George Papadopoulos. The thread is extraordinary detailed and long (and contains a few minor errors according to our own Shipwreckedcrew). But his overall conclusions are sound.
Oh my God! He deleted a Facebook page and got a new cell phone! Lock Him Up! Read the thread. Sundance, AG Bill Barr Calls The Action of SCO Robert Mueller and DOJ Rod Rosenstein “Abhorrent” and “A Grave Injustice”… video at link.
[Transcript] …”Now what happened to the president – and I’ve said this many times – what happened to the president in the 2016 election; and throughout the first two years of his administration was abhorrent. It was a grave injustice and it was unprecedented in American history.”
“The law enforcement and intelligence apparatus of this country were involved in advancing a false and utterly baseless Russian-collusion narrative against the president.”
The proper investigative and prosecutive standards of the Dept of Justice were abused, in my view, in order to reach a particular result.” ~ (AG Barr, May 18, 2020)
How can AG Barr say the DOJ/FBI conduct during the first two years of the administration “was abhorrent” without specifically implying his two friends, Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein were complicit in the “grave injustice” he outlines?

It is interesting that no media (of any disposition) has ever questioned AG Barr about Rosenstein and Mueller considering his words that outline their behavior as abhorrent. . .
