But, I was lazy and didn't take any pictures, so I'll use some pictures I took on the beach yesterday afternoon about the same time.
I called Trevor, but he had a Drs. appointment, and couldn't come.
The Buffies (Bufflehead Ducks), our most common winter visitor, are here.
Two clusters of birds working on schools of fish and bait. I proved to myself beyond a reasonable doubt that there were only small (10-14 inch) Striped Bass pushing the bait fish, small silversides or anchovies, up to the surface. Later, I tried Location X, and found some slightly bigger fish 17-18 inches, but nothing worthy of (or legal to) invite to dinner.
Back to the Harbor with light to spare.
