Our first November beach report; we got a quick walk yesterday, but I didn't get much photo material. A cool day today, with light northeast winds, partly to mostly cloudy skies, and temperatures in the low 50s. But it is November, and we could have snow and ice.
Speaking of fossils, it was a pretty decent day after a slow start; we ended up with 31 teeth, though none were especially awesome finds. This might be from a good sized Lemon Shark.
Peeps (Semipalmated Sandpipers) fueling up for the journey south. We only saw one Eagle today, and briefly.
Our fall color is about at peak now; all of our poplars, maples and gums, most of our oaks and hickories have turned. A few of the early trees are almost bare. The Kudzu is still green, but looking pretty ratty. The first frost, which we barely dodged yesterday morning, will put an end to it for the year.
