DC Animal Control officials have received reports of a mountain lion sighting.I doubt that there was a Mountain Lion within the districts boundaries; there are very few reliable reports of them in the Mid Atlantic. Cougars, on the other hand, are a different matter...
The mountain lion was reportedly seen in Northeast near the new Costco. The Costco is located in the 2400 block of Market St NE.
Animal Control could not confirm the sighting.
