Our mild spell continues, with temperatures in the high 70s, mild humidity, and light winds. The eagles were out today, and the Ospreys seemed to be dodging the tax collectors.
While not exactly rare around here, I don't expect to see a Snowy Egret hanging around the jetty.
An immature Bald Eagle. I can't pretend I understand all the different color phases they go through, but it seems pretty complicated. According to Cornell, it takes five years to get the classic white head and tail pattern. I think one this symmetrical is quite far along.
