We have no beach.
A combination of larger astronomical tide caused by the waxing moon, and a storm tide caused the bay to swell a at least two feet above it's normal state. At high tide this morning, the beach was all but swallowed up, and the north jetty almost under water. Note the wrack line from the slightly higher tide last night:
Now graphically. My usual live tide gauge at Solomons appears to be failing at higher levels, so I had to get this from Annapolis, 40 or so miles up the Bay:
Along with the storm of last night, we had sustained 25 knot south winds which pushed all this water up into the Bay:
What with the shift to a north wind, it should all run out shortly.
