What Happens When a Floron Makes Pizza

Would you like a ssssslice?

A Florida pizza joint is offering a special slithering pie topped with virtually every creature that lives in the swamp.

Evan’s Neighborhood Pizza in Fort Myers, Fla. tops its Everglades pie with a curious amalgam of animals including hog, alligator, tomato, frogs legs, swamp cabbage — and, for good measure, python.
Does python taste like rattlesnake? Because if so, yep, I'd prolly eat it.
“I'm very adventurous when it comes to food, that's for sure,” owner Evan Daniell, 52, told the Daily News on Thursday. “You have different flavors throughout each bite.”

The python, for example, has a chewy consistency and is marinated to remove the “gamey” taste of the meat. The frog's legs, which include the bones, have a cleaner taste than chicken, Daniell said.
I've had frog legs and alligator, and while neither are so good I'd pay extra for them, both would serve in a famine.
The idea was born in the pizza shop two years ago when the employees were discussing the invasion of pythons in the Everglades.

“The out-of-state people want to try it because it’s like a dare,” said the wife, 42.
Uh, yes, Florons like to try to gross out their out-of town-kin and friends.
The family is not done pushing the envelope with their pies, Evan Daniell said.  The husband has considered a “roadkill” pizza that would include raccoon, armadillo and even possum meat.

“I've yet to find a supplier,” he said.
You can always make your own road kill.

You have heard about the Floron seven course dinner, haven't you?

A six pack and a 'possum.
