Heat Wave at the Beach

The Mid-Atlantic region has been experiencing hotter than normal weather since Thursday; day time highs hitting the low 90s F and the humidity starting to creep up, but not yet oppressive.  Tomorrow is supposed to be a little cooler, but not much (86) and then cooler for the rest of the week.  It helps to get going early.
Despite the pictures, there is a decent breeze 15-20 knots, but it's southwest, and is pretty well blocked by the cliffs while you're on the beach, and the Bay doesn't get rough until you're out a mile or so.  The "thing" on the right is the dredge boat, which is now accumulated clearing sand out of the harbor mouth.
The crabbers are working hard now to supply all the crabs that are suddenly in demand with and after memorial day.  Marylands motto ought to be "Maryland is for Crabs" instead of ""Fatti maschil, Parole femine" (loosely translated as "Manly deeds, Womanly words").
Skye trudging through the shallows in an effort to stay cool.
Red retrieving a piece of beach trash he grew friendly with.
I picked up a pretty good Snaggletooth Shark lower tooth, and when I wanted to take a picture of it Joel insisted I include his slightly larger small Mako tooth, saying his was bigger than mine.  However, a trick of perspective makes mine look larger in the shot, so I guess that's all that counts.
A family using the shore before it gets any hotter, while Joel, in the distance, goes back for another lap.
