We couldn't find Whitey yesterday, but upon reflection, today Skye and I found him back in the shallow water at the back of the harbor
This butterfly was flitting around the harbor too. It's either an Eastern Comma or a Question Mark. The undersides are more determinative, but based on the hooked wing tips I'm going to guess Question Mark.
A pretty low tide today, with lots of sand bar exposed.
A nice day, partly cloudy, about 70 F, and not much wind.
Ripples in the sand bar.
While we were coming back down the beach, Whitey passed by on his way north, past Matoaka.
