Jan. 1, 2014 was cool and breezy here in Southern MD, 36 F and a 15 knot SE wind. Not bad if you bundled up enough, and we did. We only walked to the cottages; the stream was still too swollen to cross easily.
The Buffleheads were there of course. I didn't see any eagles.
The first shark's tooth of 2014. Not a particularly great one, just a jar filler. We wound up with three each, enough to keep the average in the long run, but not a great day. None will make the top shelf yet.
