The Christmas/New Years use or lose vacation season is coming to an end. We have one more day off coming, and then back to the science grind.
We put off our walk until later this afternoon, in hopes of warmer air. The air was warmer (near 55 F) but we paid for that with an increased wind, which peaked at 20 mph while we were out walking.
The tide was not favorable, and the surf made looking at the surf edge difficult, but between us we found 10 sharks teeth to start the 2012 jar. Nothing remarkable, but it's better than being skunked. Here's a kid looking the hard way.
On the way back we met our neighbors Becky and Ernie and their pack of kids. They had also recently acquired 2 labs through rescue, Max and Riley. Using our example, they let them off the leash and the kids and dogs proceeded to have a ball.
This is Riley
And this is Max with Riley, disputing ownership of the current stick.
They almost persuaded Skye to play with a stick...
