Looks as if Gene Simmons is growing up. After 28 years, the Kiss rocker is ready to stop cheating on his girlfriend and start cheating on his wife.
Some time on Friday morning, the news must have hit, because my hit count climbed and stayed up all day, doubling my normal meager counts, and the vast majority of the hits were on two old posts (here and here) on Shannon and Gene's extremely public marriage problems and plans.
I hope this all calms down soon, I'm starting to run out of only mildly naughty pictures of Shannon. But I'm not going to waste this chance...
His publicist confirmed Friday that Simmons, 62, and longtime partner, Shannon Tweed, 54, are engaged and plan to marry Oct. 1 in Beverly Hills. People.com posted a photo of the invitation, created by the couple's children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19.That seems unlikely, though, as Gene is a confirmed cad (and making a good living at it too, what with the TV show and all).
Simmons, 62, proposed to Tweed, 54, on the season finale of their A&E reality show, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels," after a tumultuous period that found Tweed moving out after Simmons was photographed leaving a restaurant with two younger women.
And who says romance is dead?
