Cloudy and Breezy |
As some of you may know,
Alex is getting married on Saturday in Washington, Pennsylvania, and so our life is being turned upside down (in a good way) for a few days. Georgia's sister and her husband flew in Tuesday night, and my Mom and Ted's wife flew in last night. They had an awful delay in Chicago as a result of thunderstorms last night, and ended up getting well after midnight.

The Sandpipers are still around |
I took the rest of the week off, and so I got to take Ted's wife on a beach walk this morning. It was breezy, but nice out, far more humid than Californians are used to, but easily tolerable by our standards. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of mud in the water or trash on the beach;
I'm still expecting a big load to wash down any day now as a result of the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee.

Skye stalks a potential friend |
Today, they all left with Georgia for Frederick, where Mom has relatives, living and dead, but I still have errands to do before the wedding, and will leave tomorrow, at which point blogging is likely to be slim.
