Don't be so sure . . .
Which raises some interesting questions. If a human was raised without language (which would be cruel and immoral, but interesting), would or could his/her brain learn this memorization skill instead? Do individual people have a trade off between language abilities and this skill, depending on genetics, and or experience? Could certain "idiot savant" types be an extreme example of this trade off?
