A gorgeous day at the beach, sunny and 74, with a south breeze. Also a pretty good day fossil collecting. Georgia found this large (but not quite this year's best) Snaggletooth upper. 1 and 9/16ths inches.
And I was feeling kind of jealous until I found this almost equally large Snaggletooth lower, a mere 1 and 15/32nds of an inch. It was a hair bigger than this years current best, and replaced it on the kitchen window sill.
I also found this big "cookie," a juvenile growth plate from a whale vertebrae. In scientific jargon, called an epiphysis.
