Around and Back Again at the Beach

The low tide today was higher than most high tides, thanks to a stiff south wind. We couldn't even get past the narrow spot on the Cliff at Calvert Beach, so we had to walk around on the streets to reach Matoaka Cottages.
On the way, we saw this interesting folk sculpture sitting on a mailbox, a chicken made mostly of old cutlery, with a few other metal scraps, and some eggs for verisimilitude.
Due the the very high tides, shark's teeth were few and far between, but I did find this smallish, but extremely well preserved "Mako" tooth. It's almost sharp enough to shave with. This early in the year, it was big enough to bump the previous largest of year off it's perch on the kitchen window sill.
Georgia and Skye up the beach a bit.
And some fellow fossil hunters. Skye got a pet.
