No beach walk, because there was no beach. Last week, thanks to a nor'easter, tides were 2 feet below their "nominal" levels due to winds, today, they were 2 feet higher because of another nor'easter. It just depends on how hard, how long, and what direction the wind blows.
Canoeing down Long Beach drive. This is the oldest part of the community, built in the 1930's on the beach front and on fill, which is slowly sinking. Since then, the bay has probably risen by about a foot, when you consider the added settlement. When the rain falls, or the tides rise, they have problems.
Skye and I had to settle for a street walk. No shark's teeth for me, but Skye found a few people to get pets from, and one little dog to play with, and infinite bushes, poles, fence posts, and fire hydrants to sniff, so it was good from her perspective.
