FBI Probe of Clint.com Heats Up

FBI expands probe of Clinton emails, launches independent classification review
The FBI has expanded its probe of Hillary Clinton's emails, with agents exploring whether multiple statements violate a federal false statements statute, according to intelligence sources familiar with the ongoing case.

Fox News is told agents are looking at U.S. Code 18, Section 1001, which pertains to "materially false" statements given either in writing, orally or through a third party. Violations also include pressuring a third party to conspire in a cover-up. Each felony violation is subject to five years in prison.

This phase represents an expansion of the FBI probe, which is also exploring potential violations of an Espionage Act provision relating to "gross negligence" in the handling of national defense information.

"The agents involved are under a lot of pressure and are busting a--," an intelligence source, who was not authorized to speak on the record, told Fox News.

The section of the criminal code being explored is known as "statements or entries generally," and can be applied when an individual makes misleading or false statements causing federal agents to expend additional resources and time. In this case, legal experts as well as a former FBI agent said, Section 1001 could apply if Clinton, her aides or attorney were not forthcoming with FBI agents about her emails, classification and whether only non-government records were destroyed. It is not publicly known who may have been interviewed.

Fox News judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said the same section got Martha Stewart in trouble with the FBI. To be a violation, the statements do not need to be given under oath.
Clinton and her aides not forthcoming? I can't imagine. . .

CONTEMPT: Hillary Clinton Lied Under Oath Repeatedly During Her "Successful" Benghazi Testimony
Writing at the Washington Free Beacon, Daniel Bassali offers an excellent summary of Hillary Clinton's literally contemptible testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

Clinton [asserted that] 95 percent of her emails were already stored on the State Department’s server because she emailed government accounts, which are automatically stored—unlike her own private account. When asked by Chairman Trey Gowdy (R., S.C.) where she obtained this fact, which she mentioned numerous times in her testimony, Clinton cited the State Department. The following day, spokesman Mark Toner said the State Department did not provide that figure. An Inspector General report released in March said only 0.00006 percent of all emails were properly archived on State Department servers.

Clinton also said she turned over all of her relevant work emails from her time in Foggy Bottom, but theBenghazi Committee proved that false when Sid Blumenthal provided them 15 emails not included in the ones Clinton turned over. More emails between Clinton and Gen. David Petraeus were found later. When confronted about how she chose which emails to hand over to the State Department and which to wipe off her server, Clinton pointed to her team of lawyers.

The story of why Clinton was forced to turn her emails over to the State Department has also been refuted. She said she did so voluntarily, along with other former secretaries of state, to help “fill gaps” in the department’s records. In September, State Department press secretary John Kirby told the Washington Post that the department was made aware of Clinton’s private server by the Benghazi Committee, which requested she turn over all of her documents. They reached out to Clinton three months prior to contacting any other secretary of state.

Similarly, Clinton has asserted from the time she first addressed the scandal that no classified information was ever present on her home email server. That was a lie, as literally hundreds of classified documents were discovered to have transited her private system, including "highly classified information".

And it goes without saying that Hillary Clinton's lies about the Benghazi attack being motivated by a video were beyond the pale; lying to the American people, lying to the families of the dead, and lying to everyone within earshot.
A defining characteristic of the Clinton's is that they continue to lie even when it is obvious. With the help of the media they hope to brazen past it.

Watchdog Eagerly Anticipates "Deadline Clock" For Clinton Foundation Tax-Refilings, Claiming Fraud
The Clintons? Fraud? Self-dealing? Cheating around the rules?

Nah. Could not be.
Longtime Wall Street analyst and investor Charles Ortel is excited about Nov. 16. That is the day when the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation must file its IRS Form 990 for tax year 2014.
In anticipation Ortel's website, packed with numerous lengthy reports detailing what he believes is extensive Clinton Foundation fraud, includes a countdown clock heralding November 16 as the Final Charity Fraud Confession Deadline.
Last week Ortel's clock received a surge after news that a Clinton Foundation spin-off, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, had agreed to refile two years of self-admitted error-ridden tax returns after first announcing otherwise on October 30.
....
First, the Foundation's 2014 Form 990 is expected to be highly scrutinized because Hillary Clinton, a Clinton Foundation director at that time, was not shy about her plans to run for president in 2016. Surely, there will be millions of robust revenue and an impressive donor list comprised of compassionate corporations, foreign governments, other foundations, and individuals who somehow overlook that only six percent of the Clinton Foundation's expenditures actually reach their intended recipients.
My bold. Even the Smithsonian isn't that overhead heavy. But Sid "the shiv" needs new shoes.
