CHiP Arrests Fireman at Accident

San Diego, California News Station - KFMB Channel 8 - cbs8.com

It's hard to get a really good sense of what's happening here. Clearly the cop has demanded that the emergency vehicles (fire truck and/or paramedics) move so that the cops can control the scene the way they prefer. It sounds like they both use their vehicles to protect the scene. Is the CHiP too lazy to walk to the scene from 25 yards further away, is he just on a power trip, or does he have a serious objection to how the firemen are doing their job?
According to officials, the officer told firefighters to move three fire engines from the fast lane, and two complied, but one firefighter refused that request and continued giving aid to the crash victims.
As presented, my sympathies lie with the fireman. It's more important to fight fires, and treat accident victims than to issue tickets and assign blame to the guilty party.

While fireman may have the cool tools, the cops have the guns.

  1. As pathetic as this is I will say this is California for you. Wish we could wall up California like east Germany because there isn't much difference.
