As we were walking down to the beach, we were hailed by a couple who live nearby to great their new "Patton" who was making his first trip down to the beach. He was cute as a button; cuter in my opinion, as buttons don't do that much me. He was very intrigued by the sand, and being able to dig in it. He is a German Shepherd, despite the downy coat.
Despite the fact it was only about 30 F out, it was a lovely day, bright and sunny, with no wind. This is Ray, out looking for fossils. On our way back we stopped to talk to him and he had a good crocodile tooth.
The ice ridges from Friday are still here, but dwindling rapidly.
Not a great day for fossils for us, only three "jar filler" shark's teeth, and this pretty complete Turritella shell.
maybe you should beach comb with a metal detector
