A Sunny Day at the Beach

Sky and I left for the beach a little after 10 AM, while Georgia was off attending her civic association meeting.  Today was quite nice out, warming rapidly towards 60 F, a little breezy but not bad, and  with a blue, cloudless sky.  A nice change after Snowquesteration!

The Buffies are still hanging around, although I can't believe they'll be here much longer.  The Ospreys are due back any day now (tradition has it they come back on St. Patrick's Day, but their calendar skills tend to be a little vague).

As we were walking down the beach, this dog came running up to greet us.

She actually got a little play out of Skye.  That's hard to do these days.

It turned out her name was Holly and she's a new neighbor, having just moved into Calvert Beach.
Skye and I found our way blocked at the cliff by the high tide.

Back at home, we worked in the yard a while (Georgia and I, not Skye, who has no interest in the yard's appearance, only it's wildlife holding capacity), and had a nice long nap.
