Jan. 1. Time to change the jar of shark's teeth (and other similar fossils) and start a new one, and see how well we fared. You might want to start the video before reading.
According to the records we kept monthly, written on the jar, and not perfectly counted because of the "top shelf" teeth may not always have been included, 1690 teeth 1 lb, 10.25 oz or 745 g. The photo shows the jar, and the teeth that finished the year on the top shelf. Still missing, that hand sized Megalodon that is the ultimate find.
Monthly breakdown: Jan. 65, Feb., 65, Mar. 91, April 70, May 175, June 166, July 304, Aug. 66, Sept. 129, Oct. 124, Nov. 212, and Dec. 223. Variations reflect retirement status, health, weather, travel and beach conditions.
