'Special Master' Questions Declassified Doc, Biden Supporter Kills Trumpist, Joe Biden Passes Gas

CNN reports Special master questions Trump's claims about Mar-a-Lago docs being declassified

Judge Raymond Dearie, the special master overseeing the seizure of documents from Mar-a-Lago, signaled on Tuesday to lawyers for former President Donald Trump that if they don't make a case that any of the documents were declassified, he would determine that they're classified.

Out of court, Trump has pushed the claim he declassified all the documents, and his lawyers have raised that possibility in court papers, though they have never explicitly argued that anything was declassified.

Federal prosecutors have argued for weeks that documents seized from Mar-a-Lago that contain classification markings -- like "top secret" -- should be treated as if they are classified.

During a hearing Tuesday, Dearie essentially called Trump's bluff by pointing out that Trump's lawyers haven't yet provided any proof of declassification.

Of course, he has publicly produced a document in which he declared all the "Russiagate" documents declassified. I guess he needs to show it to the judge, though. Also, Kash Patel has said he was present when Trump declared the documents declassified. Turley is not overly concerned Jonathan Turley@JonathanTurley "The court's request for support of the declassification was highly predictable and the absence of support at this stage is a striking. Even if Trump is claiming an oral order, they could have offered a declaration from Trump or a staff member on such an order."

A man killed an 18-year-old North Dakota teen in a hit-and-run Sunday after believing he was a “republican extremist,” according to multiple reports.

Foster County Deputies were called to an alleyway in the town of McHenry around 2:35 a.m. by 41-year-old Shannon Brandt, according to Valley News Live and Inforum. Brandt told authorities that 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson was part of a Republican extremist group and he was afraid they were “coming to get him,” according to the reports.

Just before the alleged hit-and-run, Ellingson reportedly called his mother to ask if she knew who Brandt was. His mother said “yes” and immediately went on her way to pick her son up, according to Valley News Live and Inforum. Ellingson later called his mother a second time to say that “he” or “they” were chasing him, according to the same reports.

At Breitbart, Man Admits to Killing Teen He Claimed Was ‘Republican Extremist’

"Assuming everything in this report is accurate, and Brandt is convicted of  “chasing” and running down Ellingson, this is almost certainly the result His Fraudulency Joe Biden and the corporate media have sought with their relentless demonization of Republicans. We’re a danger to democracy, they say. We’re evil extremists."

"... reminding Attorney General Merrick Garland and his colleagues that the stakes are very high. And that, even if some of the candidates he has endorsed in the midterms are lagging in the polls, and even though there reportedly were many empty seats at his Youngstown rally, he still has a mass movement that is fanatically loyal to him, and which has already demonstrated, on January 6, 2021, that it contains elements willing to resort to violence on his behalf. He doesn’t have to say all this out loud. It is self-evident. Garland has repeatedly stated that no one is above the law.... In the coming months, Trump, his desperation growing, will likely seek to test the system to the point of breakage, just as he did after November, 2020. Defenders of democracy and the rule of law, regardless of their political affiliation, had better be prepared."

Writes John Cassidy, in "Why Is Trump Openly Embracing QAnon Now? The former President is likely signalling to prosecutors that he won’t go quietly, so they had better beware" (The New Yorker).

Cassidy is responding to a recent statement by Trump about what would happen if he were indicted: "I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before. I don’t think the people of the United States would stand for it.... I think they’d have big problems, big problems. I just don’t think they’d stand for it. They will not, they will not sit still and stand for this ultimate of hoaxes."

Maybe Merrick Garland should worry more about Joe Biden inciting violence against Republicans. Also via the Wombat, the Weasel Zippers note Joe Biden, Who Spent Weeks Smearing Trump Supporters, Complains Politics Is “All Personal Attacks”…

Governing is about statesmanship, not implementing technocracy. Why is McConnell refusing to spend money in a winnable race? Because, of course, he is a petty and vindictive Establishment Corporate Cvck, and like all Establishment Corporate Cvcks, he destroys any Republican who defeats an Establishment Cvck in a primary.

McConnell would rather have a minority caucus of Establishment corporate China-lackey cvcks than a majority that includes some America First patriots that might buck his "leadership" and question his commitment to a China First agenda.

Update: Is Mitch McConnell feeling pressured to at least pretend he has some interest in winning an election?
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has reportedly changed his mind on Republican chances of retaking control of the Senate in the midterm elections.

Previously in doubt that Sen. Rick Scott's (R-FL) plan at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) would yield positive results, McConnell was cautiously optimistic Republicans will gain the majority, the Chamber of Commerce told Axios.
