One day you wash up on the beach, wet and naked. Another day you wash back out. In between, the scenery changes constantly.

Fishing Again
The wind died this afternoon, and I took the opportunity to go out and try my luck at "Location X". Fishing was so-so; I caught about a dozen, mostly smalls, but one up in the high 20 inches. Ron "Onefish" was out, along with 5 other boats.
The interesting story was birds. There was a big flock of Horned Grebes hanging around. The adult males have an orange tuft of feathers on their heads and red eyes. You can sort of see it in this long shot.
And there were a few Loons; some in their snazzy summer duds, but most in their drab winter black. Both the Grebes and the Loons are transient; they'll be gone in a few weeks.
