Obamacare Schadenfreude - Attack of the Titan

As I compose this, we're deep in the grip of Tropical Winter Storm Titan.  A curious storm, this is the same system that started near Hawaii and gave California some much rain a few days ago.  It has interacted with the cold air from the Polar Vortex, and is dumping rain, snow, and some stuff in between over a large swathe of the the center of the country.

Yesterday, we walked on the beach at noonish. As we started the air was 50ish, and the wind from the south felt warm in the sun. By the time we finished an hour later, the sky was covered, the temperature was only 40, from east.  It began to rain around 5 PM, not so hard, and was still raining when we went to bed.

This morning, the temperature is 22, there's already an inch or more of fine snow on the ground, and the air is thick with it.  It's supposed to last until this afternoon, and I saw predictions of up to a foot, centered on Southern MD on the 11 o'clock news. Even given as much as it's snowing, I can't imagine us getting that much, although 3-6 inches, the earlier projections, seems possible.  Time to huddle in the warmth, and hope the power stays on.

Obamacare Schadenfreude seems to have dried up over Sunday, with the news emphasis on the Ukraine, however, a little cartoon slithered through the weeds to the front yard from Theo's.

Could this be it for a while?  Stay tuned.
